The Ideal Pokémon Legends: Z-A Super Form According to the Zodiac Sign
This comeback of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement across the community. From the gradual reveal of fresh additions before the game's launch, to players forming strong views on the full lineup of new Megas, there's plenty for enthusiasts to look forward to.
Given many of the Super Forms boasting distinctive appearances that highlight their traits, one idea came to mind: How can connect this with zodiac signs? This list is based on a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndoom was almost chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Mega Pokémon and astrological sign that evoke the greatest apprehension. But, a Super Houndoom appears as always angry, which isn't typical of the Ram's energy, renowned for being playful, light-hearted, and spontaneous. This makes the Ram much more similar to Super Camerupt, which only erupts when angered. Remain on the friendly side of both and benefit from a powerful ally; if you cross them, prepare to face the consequences.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Similar to a devoted Taurus, the steadfast Heracross, both in its standard and Mega form, has assisted many trainers in Legends: Z-A. While trustworthy, each the creature and a Bull are also battle-oriented, and – whether it's their companion or a strong opinion – will defend their position unwaveringly. What about Super Heracross that reminds me most of my Taurus friends, though, is its unashamed passion for treats. Several past official descriptions note their craving for tasty tree sap and how it employs its horn to collect it all, which is true Bull-sign vibe.
Gemini – Mega Medicham
Observe this total royalty. It's impossible to tell me this creature is not the soul of any gathering, providing an constant fountain of gossip to those who wish to listen. Just like an captivating, sociable Twins, it's very easy to imagine Super Medicham mesmerizing an entire open area with their stories. Medicham’s official description also states its capacity to foresee an opponent's next moves, which seems very like a socially-savvy Twins.
The Crab – Mega Manectric
Cancer is commonly considered as the most emotional sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign known for often getting absorbed in their feelings. Per the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the creature with a “tremendous quantity of energy, but it's excessive for this Pokémon to fully manage,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer crash-out. This Pokémon is also recognized for its ability to create a thundercloud over its very head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is likely to do, it’s spoil their own parade.
Leo – Super Starmie
Well, did you think I was going to pick the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Besides the fact that it would be far too obvious, The Lion is clearly Super Starmie, the star whose legs just went viral for being too fabulous (or terrifying, depending on your taste). Players couldn’t look away from the violet starfish, and that’s precisely the identical vibe a Leo brings to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be transmitting signals from its center out into the cosmos, and it’s typical of a Lion to be putting on a show, albeit for extraterrestrials.
The Maiden – Mega Victreebel
The always-ready and perpetually-anxious Maiden is ideally encapsulated in Mega Victreebel, the Mega with constant acid reflux. The zodiac symbol known for being endearingly critical is clearly mirrored across this creature's entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually surprised expression like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a 401(k), to its upside-down face that’s similar to the emoji a Virgo sends to the group chat when all says they want to “be spontaneous” instead of making a strategy.
The Scales – Mega Audino
Look at this sweet, sensitive being, who uses the feelers on its auditory organs to detect how others are emotionally by their pulse. Consistently empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and trying to maintain the peace, there are numerous Scales who would likely benefit from Super Audino's abilities. Though, let’s be honest, it would probably just cause them to stress even more about others.
Scorpio – Mega Banette
This Ghost-type is a creature with a unexpectedly tragic origin: Discarded as a toy, it became sentient through pure hatred and vowed retribution on its previous caretaker. Per the Pokédex, Super Evolution, “enhances its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like many discussions I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpio loves cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect pair with Super Banette.
The Archer – Super Hawlucha
Each Super Hawlucha and Sagittarians are constantly staging a performance. Being a Archer myself, the number of times I’ve called myself some variation of a “playful little jester” is countless. The most flamboyant and most obnoxious Mega Evolution, its description even mentions how it “poses to display its strength.” I would do the very same thing if I had some kind of Mega evolved form, making Mega Hawlucha the most fitting Sagittarius counterpart I can think of.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Did you know that a Super Absol has the ability to foresee calamities ahead of time? That gives the exact same vibe as a Goat, who tends to always think they’re correct. The thing is, much like a visionary Super Absol, they frequently are. It’s also the absolute first Super Form that players encounter in Legends: Z-A – typical of a Goat to get in on the ground floor of the Mega trend.
Aquarius – Mega Chandelure
Detached element Aquarius is arguably the non-flame sign that is closest to a flame symbol – its sister sign is the Lion, and there are countless memes about the Archer and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Super Chandelure's dual Spirit/Flame category matches perfectly with this, and the Mega’s overall intimidating aura is also very Water Bearer. If you hadn't yet convinced, the Super Form's Pokédex entry says it “absorbs hatred and converts it into power.” If that fails to exactly {encaps
