White House Decries 'Democrat Hoax' as Additional Jeffrey Epstein Photographs Released
Democratic lawmakers have made public a new tranche of what they described as "disturbing" pictures from the property of convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein, featuring among others Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, and ex-UK prince Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor.
The initial drop of 19 images—a portion of which have been seen before—combined with another 70 released later on Friday account for a minuscule portion of the nearly 100,000 images provided to the House investigative panel, which is looking into the conduct and connections of Epstein.
The fallen money manager was a victim of apparent suicide in a New York jail cell in 2019 after being charged with sex-trafficking offenses.
Notable Figures in the Images
Included in the notable figures seen in the first release are public figures including movie maker Woody Allen; Microsoft co-founder Bill Gates; and Richard Branson, originator of the Virgin conglomerate.
Donald Trump appears in three of the initial 19 images. In one, he is photographed with six women, whose faces are redacted.
Administration Statement
The White House addressed the release in a official comment, charging Democrats of purposefully "hand-picking" the images for political purposes and to "attempt to fabricate a false storyline."
"The Democrat hoax against President Trump has been time and again refuted," an administration official stated, asserting that "this presidency has accomplished more for Epstein's victims than Democrats have ever done by consistently demanding openness, releasing numerous documents of documents, and calling for more inquiries into Epstein's Democrat friends."
Panel Member Comment
The photographs were published without context, but per a Democratic representative from California and senior member of the investigative panel, they raise more questions about Epstein's associations with affluent people.
"The moment has come to stop this White House obfuscation and secure justice to the victims of Jeffrey Epstein and his influential associates," he stated in a release.
The disclosure of these documents comes as the House panel pressing on with its investigation into the Epstein case.
